Dr. Baker PhotoDr. Jennifer Baker, Forest Institute’s Vice President for Innovation and Community Health, has been appointed director of the Murney Clinic at Forest Institute. She will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, as well as the ongoing efforts of the Operation Us initiative at Forest Institute. Dr. Baker brings her experience as a therapist and educator, as a professor at Forest Institute, and as the director of two successful, federally funded projects – a Child Welfare Training Grant and a Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant.

Dr. Baker’s appointment to this position brings Forest Institute’s mental health services with our Operation Us relationship education programs under the Center for Innovation and Community Health. This transition marks more than a change in staff. It also marks a transition for the activities at the Murney Clinic, as we continue to position ourselves as a relationship fitness resource for the Springfield community.

Dr. Baker also has been highlighted in the Springfield Business Journal's "12 People You Need to Know" program for 2012. She was recognized for her efforts to guide Forest Institute projects that work to change the way we think about family and child outcomes in the Ozarks.
